The participants bring the following educational and professional background:

• Minimum work experience of 6 months in maintenance tasks of industrial equipment or industrial work;
  
  AND
   
• Professional degree as Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Operator in Machinery;
  
  AND

Participation in the training course “Precision Maintenance and Machinery Condition Monitoring Technician” (Técnico de mantenimiento de precisión y supervisión de la condición de la maquinaria) organized by the training provider DIRA RELIABILITY S.L. and approved by PersCert TÜV. The course duration is 5 days with a total of 35 hours. The presence is documented by the provider by signature of the participant. Admission to the exam is subject to a minimum attendance of 80%.

• Written Exam

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Precision maintenance in full compliance with the procedures
• Precision or proactive maintenance tasks such as:
  - Adjustment of tolerances
  - Tightening
  - Lubrication
• Bearing replacement
• Identification of any deviation from the procedure and regarding revision

Successful candidates have the competence in order to:

• Apply precision maintenance techniques
• Perform the diagnosis of machinery failures
• Be able to implement and develop maintenance strategy
• Detect safety alterations
• Detect incorrect operation of the machine

Participants must demonstrate updated competence in a recertification process.
