A. State recognized degree in any one of the following

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical or
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical

      or, alternatively

• Suitably qualified professionals, who want to upgrade their qualifications, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in MEP Designing & Draughting.

B. Successful participation in the IREZ Academy qualification MEP Designing & Draughting with a duration of 180 hours and recognized by the Personnel Certification Body of TÜV Rheinland. The admission to the exam is granted with a minimum participation of 80%.

• Written exam (multiple choice and open questions)
• Oral exam
• Practical exam

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Analyzing requirements of MEP Designing & Draughting
• Developing a strategy to address the requirements
• Executing initial sizing and developing preliminary sketches
• Making tough decisions among different configuration choices
• Substantiating the choices with engineering analysis
• Developing configuration drawings
• Making design decisions and executing them
• Documenting and finalizing the design concept
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Understand and apply the psychrometric chart
• Design for good air quality
• Perform basic load calculations
• Initiate an effective inspection and maintenance program
• Reduce forced outages and prevent serious damage to HVAC equipment

Successful Graduates are in a position to

• perform MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Designing & Draughting in the architectural industry
• perform maintenance on HVAC Systems, Plumbing and Electrical in buildings and various industries
• perform project implementations.
