Certification Program Title:Post Graduate Diploma (SMEC) Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification
Admission Requirements:

1. State recognized degree in any one of the following

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering

      or, alternatively

  • Suitably qualified professionals, who want to upgrade their qualifications, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Civil Engineering

2. Successful participation in the SMEC qualification Post Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying with duration of 113 hours and recognized by the Personnel Certification Body. The admission to the exam is granted with a minimum participation of 80%.

  • Written examination (multiple choice and open questions)
  • Oral exam
  • Practical exam
Required Competencies:

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Interpretation of construction drawings and measuring of quantities
  • Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Tender Documents
  • Cost consulting, estimating, planning and control relating to building and civil engineering projects
  • Use of IT-Tools: Autodesk Quantity Takeoff (QTO), AutoCAD 2D and 3D
  • Preparation of Payment Application, certification and valuation of construction work
  • Assessment of variations
  • Dispute resolution
  • Preparing feasibility studies
  • Value estimation
