Participants must have a minimum age of 26 and meet defined requirements with regard to their vocational background and hold vehicle authorizations for railway vehicles. The attendance of a preparatory course recognized by the certification body is also a requirement (for further details, please refer to the information sheet).

With their certification successful participants prove they have the required skills to be appointed as Examiner for Locomotive Drivers by the responsible Head of Railway Operations.

The participants prove that their competence is up-to-date in a recertification process.
