Admission Requirements:

Master qualification or Welding Specialist or completion of the TÜV preparatory course in general technical and scientific fundamentals for welding specialists. Proof of the valid unlimited welder examination for the required welding process. A minimum of three years’ experience in the relevant welding process.

Successful participation in the TÜV Rheinland Akademie qualification course “Welding Foreman (TÜV)” recognized by the certification body. Admission to the exam is granted on 80% attendance of the teaching units.

Required Competencies:

In the examination the participants must prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Equipment and processes in welding techniques
  • Materials, their suitability and behaviour when welding
  • Calculation and design
  • Application techniques and quality assurance in manufacturing

The Welding Foreman (TÜV) authorizes for practical and specialist theoretical master tasks in the welding processes, in which he is trained.
