• Completed vocational qualification as a nurse, geriatric nurse, children´s nurse and
• A minimum of 5 years professional experience in care within the last 10 years or
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as well as proof of regular further training during any career breaks or
• Proof of self-employed activity in the field of care/ care management of at least 3 years.
• Successful participation in the TÜV Rheinland Akademie training course “Professional for Nursing Care Needs (TÜV)” recognized by the certification body. Admission to the examination is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80% of the total of 380 teaching units.

Written exam (multiple choice and open questions)

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Law
• Definition of the nursing care needs according to the guidelines of the care insurance associations
• Special care instruments used to assess
• Interviewing skills / presentation
• Document analysis
• Quality assurance
• Carrying out of assessments
• Fundamentals of business administration
