• Qualification in a care profession with state recognition (state nurse, state child nurse and geriatric nurse)
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the care field as well as experience in a management position (e.g. ward management)
• Successful participation in the TÜV Rheinland Akademie training course “Care Manager (TÜV)” recognized by the certification body

• Written exam (multiple choice and open questions)
• Assignment and presentation

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Control of quality management processes
• Interfaces and project management
• Control and monitoring of business processes and resources
• Human resources management and human resources development
• Marketing
• Specialist care competence / care organization

“Care Managers (TÜV)” can manage the business of institutions of stationary or outpatient nursing, coordinate care processes, develop suitable care concepts, ensure adherence to quality norms and care standards, manage teams as well as confidently handle tasks related to contract and labour law.
