  In 2021 SEGGER Microcontroller GmbH conducted their first corporate carbon footprint (CCF) study to calculate their GHG emissions for the calendar year 2020. The CCF covers Scope 1, Scope 2 and selected Scope 3 emissions. Specifications and accounting boundaries can be gathered from the review report. 

  In the review process of the CCF carried out by TÜV Rheinland, no significant misstatements or errors were identified which would have led to a significant change in the greenhouse gases assessed. The calculated values are therefore correctly determined in relation to the defined boundaries.

  On the basis of the results from the CCF report SEGGER has purchased and retired an equivalent number of emission reduction certificates to compensate its 2020 CO₂e emissions.

  SEGGER Microcontroller GmbH has therefore been verified as a carbon neutral company. It is confirmed that the certificate holder has compensated its verified CO₂e emissions by the following mentioned activities in climate protection:

  - Cikel Brazilian Amazon REDD APD Project Avoiding Planned Deforestation / VCS;
  - Kariba REDD+ Forest Conservation Project, Zimbabwe / VCS + CCB-Gold; and
  - REDD project in Brazil nut concessions in Madre de Dios, Peru / VCS.
