Certificate for this Management System
TÜV Rheinland performs on-site audits. Within the audits the following categories are checked through visual inspection of facilities, vehicles, equipment and documents:
Company Organization, Compliance with rules & regulations, vehicles and equipment, service offerings and operation, service quality, employee satisfaction.
Additionally interviews are conducted with respective staff to confirm their knowledge.
If the audited company is failing only one of the mandatory requirements no test mark will be issued. The validity of the test mark will be 2 years.
It is not a mandatory certification. Having passed the audit the company can show that it complies with all national rules and regulations, is well organized an capable to offer a professional and high quality service. As there are no industry standards available TUV Rheinland developed own standards. As vehicle technology is becoming more and more diversified and complex (e.g. fully electric vehicles) towing companies must continuously keep their staff trained and (safety) equipment updated and in good condition to avoid damages during the towing process, avoid work accidents for their staff ( e.g. electric shocks) and comply with SLA agreed with their main customers (vehicle insurers).
