Admission Requirements:

Participation in "PR 328 QMS ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Training Course" offered by TÜV Rheinland Akademie The course duration is 5 days with a total of 40 hours. Attendance will be documented by the provider with the signature of the participant. Admission to the exam is granted with a minimum attendance of 95%. Participants will be asked to complete a pre-assessment questionnaire.

Further admission requirements are:

  • Degree as Quality Representative (TÜV), Quality Professional (TÜV), Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 (TÜV) or a comparable degree from a training provider recognized by CQI IRCA and
  • Very good command of English.

Required Competencies:

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Audit basics and knowledge of standards (ISO 9001);
  • Guidelines for audits (ISO 19011 and ISO 17021);
  • Planning, preparation and execution of audits;
  • Monitoring and follow-up activities;
  • Communication;
  • Questioning techniques;
  • Audit opening;
  • Active listening and handling of communication problems.

Participants who have successfully completed the examination are able to lead teams of auditors. They coordinate and implement audits in complex organizations and create comprehensive audit reports in a professional way.

Recertification:

The IRCA certificate is valid for 5 years. Within this period of time a membership can be applied for directly at CQI IRCA London. After expiry of the IRCA certificate the current level of knowledge must be proven again by a current IRCA auditor course and the respective examination must be passed.
