The participants bring the following educational and professional background:

• Vocational diploma from state recognized institution
  AND
• Participation in the training course ‘Competency Assessor’ by AMR-Tech, approved by PersCert TÜV.

The course duration is 3 days with a total of 24 training hours. The presence is documented by signature of the participant. Admission to the exam is subject to a minimum attendance of 80% of the total training hours.

• Practical Exam

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Define the Assessor’s characteristics and responsibilities during assessment
• Explain the different stages of assessment planning and provide recommendations to meet required competency level
• Demonstrate the assessment process from preparation of assessment activity, to assessing competence up to providing feedback on assessment results and improvement intervention approaches.

Successful candidates have the competence in order to:

• Develop plan for assessing competence with candidate
• Judge evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions
• Provide feedback and support to candidates on assessment decisions
• Contribute to the internal quality assurance process

In a recertification process participants have to prove their up-to-date expertise through:

• Proof of actual application of Competency Assessment in the workplace for 3 years
• At least 1-day-follow-up training on Competency Assessment
