The participants bring the following educational and/or professional background:

• At least College Level from state recognized institution
  
  AND
   
• Knowledge of management system standards according to Annex SL
  
  AND
   
• Successful participation in the 11-hour ‘Documented Information Controller’ training course by Rosehall, recognized by PersCert TÜV. Admission to the examination is granted upon a minimum attendance of 90% of the total 11-hour teaching units.

• Written Exam

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Understand the requirements of Annex SL for documentation
  
  AND
   
• Develop documented information control system and/or related improvement in consideration of the applicable/relevant legal requirements and organization’s management system.

In a recertification process participants have to prove their expertise is up to date:

• Successful participation in a relevant further training comprising a minimum of 8 teaching units during the validity period of the certificate (Documentation by e.g. copy of the confirmation of participation)
  
  AND / OR
   
• Proof of continued professional experience with tasks relevant to documented information management system set-up and/or improvement within 3-year certification period.
