• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) /
• Bachelor of Technology Mechanical, Production or Chemical Engineering
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Working professional with at least 2 years’ experience in domain subject
• Successful participation in the United NDT training course “Professional in QA / QC Engineering (Oil & Gas)’ recognized by PersCert TÜV.
• Admission to the exam is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80% of the total 270 hours teaching units.

• Written exam (Multiple Choice and Open Questions)
• Oral exam
• Practical exam

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Welding
  • Ability to perform visual inspection
  • Good knowledge of welding symbols and drawings
  • Performance of inspections before, during and after welding
  • Ability to qualify welding procedures
  • Ability to do documentation as per the inspection.

• Piping
  • Knowledge of Isometric ,GAD & P and ID Drawings
  • Ability to perform according to the specification requirements
  • Ability to perform fabrication on the basis of the drawings

• Non Destructive Testing
  • Ability to perform NDT Inspection (VT,MPT,UT,RTFI)
  • Ability of Film Interpretation
  • Ability to perform calibration

• Coating
  • Ability to inspect environmental conditions
  • Comparison of PDS and specification
  • Calculation of DFT
  • Inspection of Surface profile (visual)
  • Inspection after coating (visual)

Successful candidates are in a position to:

• Perform material inspection (Visual inspection of incoming materials)
• Perform piping and structural inspection based on several drawings
• Read P & ID & Isometric Drawings
• Perform welding inspections (inspection before, during & after welding)
• Carry out non-destructive testing (PT,MT,UT)
• Perform NDT inspection
• Perform pressure testing
• Perform coating inspection

In a recertification process participants have to prove that their expertise is up to date.
