• A Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering or management.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant health and safety experience.
• Basic knowledge of management systems.
• Admission to the exam is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80% of the total 15 teaching units.

Successful candidates have the competence in order to…

• Explain the objectives of health and safety regulations
• Identify common hazards in the workplace
• Carry out an occupational risk assessment, taking into account the T-O-P principles and technical /legal requirements as required
• Define the hierarchy of preventive measures in different workplace and put adequate control measures
• Identify the sources of information and techniques needed to produce an adequate incident/accident, taking into account the relevant human factors; and record the findings of the investigation
• Design a safe system of work, including workplace transportation
• Promote good health and safety culture at the workplace
• Draft health and safety policies and procedure
• How to set up an OHS management system

In a recertification process participants have to prove their expertise is up to date:

• By relevant work experience and / or  proof of successful participation in a relevant further training according to Bulgarian Health and Safety legislation
