Certification Program Title:Diploma in Process Control Instrumentation with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification
Admission Requirements:
  • Class 10th standard / Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) & above

    Or alternatively

    Candidates below Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) qualification who want to upgrade their qualifications, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Instrumentation.
  • Successful participation in the training program “Diploma in Process Control Instrumentation” offered by SIIT with duration of 450 hours and recognized by the Personnel Certification Body of TÜV Rheinland. The admission to the exam is granted with a minimum participation of 80%.

Required Competencies:

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Select and use required tools, equipment and materials as per the job requirement
  • Install commission and loop test various field instruments (gauges, switches, RTD thermocouples, I/P converter etc.)
  • Conduct test to ascertain electrical conditions of switches, relays and field instruments in accordance with circuit diagrams.
  • Check the conditions of transmitters (pressure, flow, level and temperature) and calibrate the instrument if necessary as per the job requirement. 
  • Use common test equipment like DWT, Process Calibrator, Loop Calibrator, Temperature Calibrator etc.
  • Use Emerson 375 model HART Field Communicator for test and calibrate field process transmitters. 
  • Dismantle and overhaul of different types of control valves and actuators. 
  • Read and interpret instrumentation drawings and documents like P&ID, ILD, Hook-up drawings, Layout drawings, data sheet, cable schedule etc..
