• Qualification in registered nurse with state recognition OR
• Qualification in nanny with state recognition AND
• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in postnatal and neonatal care field AND
• The successful participation in the 30 hours training course “Maternal and Neonatal Care Professionals with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification” at the minimum of 80% attendance

• Written exam
• Oral exam

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Comprehending the core knowledge related to prenatal, postpartum and infant care
• Familiar with the maternal and neonatal care skills and able to mentor other junior level employees in this field
• Be able to provide good career advice to junior level employees in this field

• Proof of continued related jobs of Maternal and Neonatal Care for the latest 5 years.
• Should the certificate holder not fulfill the requirement then they must repeat the examination process before renewal.
