Admission 1:

• Completed the 3 year college degree in the major of science and engineering AND
• A minimum of 1 year working experience in the related field OR
• Maintain the bachelor degree of science and engineering with half year working experience in the related field AND
• Satisfy the ISO 9712 vision requirements AND
• The successful participation in the 56 hours training course ‘Ultrasonic Testing Personnel - Level 2 with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification’ at the minimum of 80% attendance

OR alternatively

Admission 2:

People obtained the same level qualification on ISO 9712 recognized by ‘The Chinese Society of NDT’ can successfully attend the examination without the training session.

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Select the Ultrasonic Testing technique to be used
• Define the limitations of application of the Ultrasonic Testing
• Translate Ultrasonic Testing codes, standards, specifications, and procedures into Ultrasonic Testing instructions adapted to the actual working conditions
• Set up and verify equipment settings
• Perform and supervise Ultrasonic Testing
• Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications or procedures
• Carry out and supervise all tasks at or below level 2 of Ultrasonic Testing
• Provide guidance for personnel at or below level 2 of Ultrasonic Testing
• Report the results of Ultrasonic Testing

• Proof of continued working experience with tasks relevant to Ultrasonic testing in past 5 years
• Satisfy the ISO 9712 vision requirements
