Completed vocational training as an electrical engineer, -technician, -master craftsman, trained electrician

Successful participation in the qualification, recognized by the certification body „Training for switching authorization“ according to the curriculum of Siemens AG in cooperation with the Technical University Ilmenau for a minimum of 5 days. Admission to the examination is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80%.

• Written exam (multiple choice)
• Successful completion of the practical training modules

In the examination participants prove their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the following areas:

• Legal fundamentals and standards, regulations and guidelines for switching systems
• Fire protection
• Assessment of accidents and damage
• Protection technology
• Function and structure of switching systems
• Network configuration and circuit symbols
• Types of defect and their impact
• Safety rules
• Operation of electrical equipment
• First aid

Successful candidates have the necessary specialist knowledge in this area in order to obtain switching authorization from the person in charge of electrical networks and systems.
