Admission Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, or
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering, or
- Suitably qualified professional ( minimum 3 years of experience) in related field, who want to upgrade their Qualification, and
- Participation in the 210 hours trainingof Competencyfor QA/QC Professional in Welding & Piping Technology with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification from Gravitech Inspection Services, recognized by the Personnel Certification Body

Required Competencies
In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:
- Successful candidates are able to understand and can ensure the following, in a specific area where ever visual inspection required.
- WPS , PQR & WPQ
- Pre-heat & PWHT temperature requirements.
- Witnessing welder qualification.
- Incoming material inspection.
- The individual is able to read the drawing related to welding.
- Candidate is able to witness and review the NDT procedures like LPT, MPT, UT, RT & RTFI.
- Candidate is able to perform fit-up inspection of spools making RFI.
- Candidate is able to review the MTC for specification conformance.
- Good knowledge in piping drawings like process flow diagram (PFD),utility flow diagram (UFD), process and instrumentation diagram(P & ID), equipment layout, general arrangement drawing.
