Certification Program Title:Expert Mechanical Burglary Protection (TÜV)
Admission Requirements:

Completed degree in a relevant discipline, technician or master craftsman in a relevant sector (metal profession, wood profession, glazier, mechatronics) with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the area of safety technology or completed vocational training in a relevant sector with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the planning and setup of security systems. Successful completion of  the TÜV Rheinland Academy’s qualification „Specialist Planner Burglary Protection (TÜV)“ as well as successful participation in the TÜV Rheinland Academy’s qualification „Expert Mechanical Burglary Protection (TÜV)“, recognized by the certification body. Admission to the examination is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80%.

  • Preparation of a sample expert report

In the examination,  participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Introduction to expert assessment work and legal framework
  • Remuneration of experts
  • Issues of liability and insurability
  • Contractual arrangements and service obligations
  • Fiscal aspects of expert work
  • Planning and carrying out onsite visits
  • Course of legal proceedings
  • Objections on grounds of partiality
  • Requirements regarding the setup and the contents of an expert report

With their knowledge of mechanical burglary protection systems, „Experts Mechanical Burglary Protection (TÜV)“ are in a position to give advice in a legally sound manner, to prepare a complete security concept for buildings and produce expert reports on the issue of burglary protection that will stand up in court and evaluate other expert reports, respectively.
