Certification Program Title:Wind Turbine Maintenance Engineer - Basic Level with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification
Admission Requirements:
  • College degree or above in the major of electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, mechanical manufacture or other related field AND
  • At least 1 year operation and maintenance work on site of wind farm AND
  • The successful participation in the 48 hours training course ‘Wind Turbine Maintenance Engineer - Basic Level with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification’ at the minimum of 80% attendance
Examination Components:
  • written exam (single/multiple choice, true/false question, blank fill-in question, essay question)                                                                                  
Required Competencies:

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Independently guide wind turbine installation and commissioning
  • Independently handle turbine failure, make analysis and provide effective feedback for wind turbine failure and prepare report
  • Independently complete the signal connection between central monitoring system and wind turbine on-site
  • Familiar with wind turbine electrical and mechanical equipment theory and maintenance method
  • Familiar with wind farm management system process

Wind Turbine Maintenance Engineer - Basic level with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification is authorised to operate and maintain the wind farm independently.

Proof of continued professional experience with tasks relevant to wind turbine maintenance
