• Qualification in a care profession with state recognition (geriatric care, nursing care, state nurse) 
  OR
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the care field as well as experience in a management position 
  AND
• The successful participation in the 20 hours training course “Care Manager” at the minimum of 80% attendance.

Written Exam (multiple choice and open questions)

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Planning, control and organization of business processes
• Control of quality management processes
• Cost accounting and operational analysis
• Human resources management and performance management
• Specialist care competence / care organization
• Marketing
• Project and crisis management

“Care Managers with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification” can manage the business of institutions of stationary or outpatient nursing, coordinate care processes, develop suitable care concepts, ensure adherence to quality norms and care standards, manage teams as well as confidently handle tasks related to contract and labour law.

• Proof of continued related jobs for the latest 3 years.
• Should the certificate holder not fulfil the requirement then they must repeat the whole certification process before renewal.
