Individual admission requirements

Over and above the competence to be proven in the examination, candidates must have proven specialist competence and professional experience. This must be documented in the form of professional qualifications and references.

Training providers, that prepare candidates for certification, are recognized by PersCert TÜV after examination of the content and scope of their training offering and the competence of their personnel.

In France:

• Academic level at least IV (nomenclature of training levels in France)
  or
• Minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience or proof of specific professional experience with at least 24 days of experience in adults’ training
  or
• Candidates with valid PersCert certificate “Facilitator for Technical Training (TÜV)”.

The examination for „Trainers for Adult Education” consists of three parts:

1. A written examination
2. A trainer guideline
3. Demonstration lesson

• Psychology of learning for adults
• Methodology, didactics, training design
• Design and application of instructional media
• Presentation and moderation techniques
• Group dynamic, difficult training situations
• Quality assurance in adult education

Trainers for adult education have solid methodical and didactical competence, which enables them to teach knowledge and skills tailored to specific target groups.

They create the necessary learning environment and activate participants by using the appropriate learning materials and methods. By developing, planning and carrying out teaching units they ensure the implementation of defined learning objectives and verify their achievement.
