Successful participation in the 5 day training course “Data Protection for the Police” according to the curriculum of the Cyber Akademie and recognized by the Certification Body.
Admission to the exam is granted on a minimum attendance of 80%.

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following fields:

• Legal fundamentals of data protection
• Data protection management and organization
• Permissibility of information processing
• Police specific data protection
• Technical and organizational measures
• Video monitoring according to data protection
• § 9 of the German Data Protection Act incl. appendix
• IT security for Data Protection Representatives
• BSI Standards for IT Security

In the examination participants prove they are in a position to recognize data protection risks in their Police Authority and react appropriately, in order to ensure protection of data within their authority.
