A valid certificate as Specialist for Thermography Step 1 with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification or equivalent certification.
Successful participation in the 5 day course “Specialist for Thermography Step 2” according to the Testo AG curriculum, recognized by the certification body. The training course is oriented around DIN 54162. Admission to the exam is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80%.

The exam consists of a written and a practial part.

• Measuring principle of temperature and radiation sensors
• Infra-red equipment technology and system parameters
• Choice of equipment technology
• Estimation and evaluation of the measuring situation
• Constraints and disturbing influences during measurement
• Safe handling of measuring technology including estimation of errors
• Stimulation techniques
• Types of analysis
• Test instructions
• Infra-red processing software
• Application examples and practical exercises
• Independent completion of thermographic measurements
• Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the measuring results
• Creation of test reports

Successful candidates of step 2 have proven their ability to carry out and manage thermograpic tests according to pre-defined or generally recognized procedures.
