Certification Program Title:Food Safety Representative for Food Suppliers with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification
Admission Requirements:
  • State recognized vocational qualification (minimum D-3 or equivalent) in food science and technology or other relevant corresponding field
  • A minimum of 2 (two) years relevant professional experience in the food-related supply chain.
  • Successful participation in training courses and on the job training of „Food Safety Representative for Food Suppliers“ provided by Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and recognised by the certification body. Admission to the examination is granted upon a minimum of 90% attendance of training course and 100% attendace of on the job training.
Examination Components:
  • Written exam (multiple choice)
  • On the job training assessment based on rubrics

  • Basic knowledge of Food Safety
  • Principles of Food Quality
  • Principles of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
  • Principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Principles of Good Handling Practices (GHP) for plant based produces
  • Principles of Good Handling Practices (GHP) for animal based produces
  • Applicable Food Regulations
  • Principles of HACCP
  • Principles of ISO22000
  • Principles of Audit (ISO9001)
  • Inspection in Food Safety

Successful candidates have the knowledge and skills to manage a system for Food Safety (GAP, GMP, GHP, HACCP & ISO 22000) in the food supply chain and have the capability of:

  • Developing a basic Food Safety system in the organization and
  • Performing internal audits/inspection of Food Safety

Requirements for recertification

  • Pass 67% of written recertification test to verify Food Safety knowledge and
  • Portfolio or letter of recommendation from the company/institution to verify evidence of continuing professional development in Food Safety
