Zulassungsvoraussetzungen
- Minimum state recognized undergraduate program degree in food science and technology or other relevant corresponding field with 2 (two) years subsequent task relevant professional experience
OR - Successfully obtained Food Safety Representative with TUV certified qualification certification and 2 year experience in food safety (portfolio from company or institution to verify professional development)
- Successful participation in training courses and on the job training of „Food Safety Expert for Food Suppliers“ provided by Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and recognised by the certification body. Admission to the examination is granted upon a minimum of 90% attendance of training course and 100% attendance of on the job training.

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:
- Review on food safety and food quality
- Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Good Handling Practices (GHP) for plant based produces (advance knowledge)
- Good Handling Practices (GHP) for animal based produces (advance knowledge)
- Food Regulations, International Standard on Food Safety
- Food Inspection based on ISO9001
- Developing HACCP based on ISO22000
- Developing teaching and communication skills
Successful candidates have the knowledge and skills to manage a system for Food Safety (GAP, GMP, GHP, HACCP & ISO 22000) in the food supply chain and have the capability of:
- Developing a Food Safety system (HACCP) in the organization
- Performing internal audits/inspection of Food Safety
- Performing external audits/inspection of Food Safety
- Delivering Food Safety Representative training
Requirements for recertification
- Pass 67% of written recertification test to verify Food Safety knowledge and
- Portfolio or letter of recommendation from the company/institution to verify evidence of continuing professional development in Food Safety
