Successful participation in the following courses:

• 2 day vendor specific license training (oracle, IBM, Adobe, Microsoft)
  or
• 2 day course Software Asset Manager – Basic of the Deloitte SAM Academy
  or
• 2 day course Software Asset Manager - Advanced der Deloitte SAM Academy
  or
• 1 day course Software Asset Manager – Basic Lite of the Deloitte SAM Academy
  and
• 2 days course Software Compliance Analyst of the Deloitte SAM Academy.

Participation is regarded successful if the participant attended a minimum of 80% of the teaching units.

• Written exam (multiple choice)

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Overview of the standard license metrics of the four largest SW manufacturers IBM, Oracle, Adobe and Microsoft
• Typical approach in the course of the creation of a meaningful license balance
• Essential criteria during quality assurance of the available data
• Application of the essential licensing rules (Application of update-/downgrade rules, application of maintenance contracts…) in order to define the legally relevant license and software installed base.

As a result successful candidates are in a position to implement the correct approach in creating a license balance in practice. The successful candidate is capable of applying the most common license metrics of the manufacturers IBM, MICROSFT, Oracle and Adobe. The contents of a manufacturer specific training (e.g. special license metrics and contract contents) are not tested.

Software License Compliance Analysts with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification prove that their competence is up-to-date in a recertification process.
