Certification Program Title:Certified Professional for Quality Control in Food Retailing with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification
Admission Requirements:
  • Completed vocational qualification or a minimum of 2 years professional experience
  • One year of specific professional experience in the fresh food department of a food retailer
  • Successful participation in the seminar “Professional for Quality Control in Food Retailing” according to DIN 10514 comprising 30 teaching units. Participation counts as successful if the participant is proven to be present during 80% of the total length of the seminar by signature.
Examination Components:

Written exam (multiple choice)

Required Competencies:

By fulfilling the admission requirements and passing the examination participants prove their competence in the following areas:

  • Food hygiene
  • HACCP
  • Obligatory labeling
  • Relevant laws and regulations with regard to food hygiene
  • Fundamentals of microbiology

During the course of recertification this competence is re-confirmed by proof of a refresher course (8 teaching units) and proof of at least 2 years specific professional experience in the fresh food department of a food retailer.
