Successful participation in the TÜV Rheinland Akademie course „Environmental Protection Representative (TÜV), recognized by the Personnel Certificatin body. Admission to the exam is granted with a minimum of 80% presence during the 40 teaching units.

Written exam (multiple choice and open questions)

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• Structure, principles, instruments of European and national environmental law
  • Waste law and waste control
  • Protection of inshore waters/German Water Act
  • Emission protection law
  • Fundamentals of hazardous substance law and hazardous cargo
• Operator obligations and responsibilities
• Fundamentals of environmental liability

Environmental Protection Representatives (TÜV) have the necessary specialist skills, in order to coordinate environmental activities and to ensure continuous legal compliance as an essential requirement for an Environmental Management System. They are familiar with the application and implementation of statutory regulations in operational practice. They can assess the environmental aspects of the company, and know which measures to take to ensure preventive and effective environmental protection.
