• A valid certificate as Specialist for Thermography Step 2 with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification or equivalent certification.
• Successful participation in the 5 day course “Specialist for Thermography Step 3” according to the Testo AG curriculum recognised by the certification body. The training course is oriented around DIN 54162. Admission to the exam is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80%.

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

• More detailed ZfP processes
• Types of analysis, stimulation techniques, standardization
• Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of measurement results
• Creation of test reports and test instructions
• Descriptions of procedures
• Laws of radiation physics
• Heat transfer
• Choice of equipment technology to be used
• Estimation and evaluation of the measuring situation
• Constraints and disturbing influences during measurement
• Safe handling of measuring technology including estimation of errors

“Specialists for Thermography Step 3 with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification” have the ability to carry out and manage thermographic tests according to defined or generally recognized procedures. They can interpret norms/regulations, write procedural descriptions, create test instructions and can check and validate their content as well as technical correctness. They are also in a position to define test procedures and procedural descriptions, manage ZfP personnel and take on responsibility for a test facility.
