Only those who have completed a state recognized vocational training with emphasis on tourism, successfully passed the state examination and additionally proven they have at least one further specialist qualification which has been examined in a suitable examination.

At present the following vocational trainings are recognized for the TÜV-Qualification:

• State Examined Assistant for Tourism
• State Examined Tourism Assistant
• State examined Touristic Assistant
• State recognized international Tourism Assistant

The following additional specialist qualifications are recognized:

• Qualification as “Wellness Coach”
• Completion of the modular practical program “Fitness, Animation, Sport and Wellness”
• Internationally recognized language certificates
• Qualification as “Examined Foreign Language Secretary” (German Chamber of Commerce)

• Written examination (open questions)
• Oral examination

In the examination participants prove, over and above their professional knowledge, capabilities and skills in the following areas:

• Wellness
• Fitness and Animation
• Languages

“Tourism Professionals (TÜV)” are trained to prove their capability in middle management of hotels and fun parks, at exhibition organizers and travel companies, in tourist offices, spa administration, trade show offices and congress agencies.
