Certification Program Title:Care Expert (TÜV)
Admission Requirements:
  • Completed vocational training as a healthcare professional/nurse or
  • Completed vocational training as a geriatric nurse and
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience within the last five years.
  • Successful participation in the TÜV Rheinland Academy’s qualification „Care Expert (TÜV)“, recognized by the certification body, as well as demonstrations of performance during the course. Admission to the exam is granted upon a minimum attendance of 80%.

Required Competencies:

In the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • Legal fundamentals
  • Shaping and steering of processes and quality of results
  • Solution-oriented interaction that is suitable for the target group
  • Survey of degree of independence and assistance requirements
  • Assessment of preventive and rehabilitation potential
  • Analysis of documents and circumstances
  • Carrying out and planning  on-site visits
  • Preparation of expert reports and professional position statements

„Care Experts (TÜV)” are in a position to take on  care degree management in care facilities, to identify increased assistance requirements at an early stage and to swiftly initiate adjustments of the care degree.
They can evaluate the care situation and quality and detect iatrogenic harm, measure and assess the quality of results in care. As independent care experts, “Care Experts (TÜV) can prepare objection assessments and scientific expert reports for the Social Welfare Court.
