Tested Product Properties

Products awarded the PROOF certificate have been tested according to strict requirements for the characteristics highlighted in the certificate, including basic safety requirements. TÜV Rheinland’s criteria catalogs define the limit values and the test methods to be used for each product property. Our testing requirements go beyond legal requirements.

Testing and certification is voluntary. TÜV Rheinland tests a product sample and conducts repeat factory inspections.  The validity of the certificate does not expire unless the standard(s) expire or either the client or TÜV Rheinland cancels the certificate.

Certified products may be labeled with a test mark.
