      The standards of the EN 50600 series offer a holistic approach to planning and operating a state-of-the-art, future-proof data center.

      Care is taken to ensure that the requirements permit energy-efficient solutions and enable the operator to demonstrate the energy efficiency achieved during operation by means of measurements.

      The data center with the TÜV Rheinland test mark is tested and certified by TÜV Rheinland.

      Specialist auditors analyze and evaluate the data center with regard to infrastructure, processes and IT security. Special emphasis is placed on the functional interaction of physical and digital functionalities.

      For the evaluation of the infrastructure, TÜV Rheinland examines the availability of IT-specific building equipment such as building construction and power supply.

      When assessing processes, TÜV Rheinland examines the completeness, accessibility and effectiveness of critical business processes such as change management, customer management and incident management.

      When assessing IT security, TÜV Rheinland examines the security systems, among others.

      If all necessary requirements are fulfilled, the data center is certified according to DIN EN 50600.

      The evaluation of the data center is repeated on a regular basis. Certified data centers may use the test mark in their communication.
