Taiwantrade is an e-commerce platform implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China.

Suppliers who want to join the platform shall provide verification of their business information such as company name/address, email address, company ID, telephone number, employee number, revenue, main product and management personnel. Further verification of export ability, production ability, product certification, systems certification, etc. is optional.

TÜV Rheinland verifies the required information by reviewing government web sites. Random on-site checks are conducted to confirm the online information.

TÜV Rheinland issues a certificate and certified organizations may use the test mark in their communications. Certificate and test mark are valid for one year.
