Corporate Carbon Footprint

The assessment of a company’s greenhouse gas emissions is an important first step towards environmental protection within enterprises. Application of this method for greenhouse gas assessment facilitates detection of optimization potential. The results of that study can contribute to strategic corporate planning. Closely following the international standards ISO 14064 and considering state of the art of quantitative analysis of greenhouse gases, the results are critically reviewed and then certified. 

For certification a critical review is required. This review has to ensure the following criteria: 

• The method applied in the Corporate Carbon Footprint study has to be in accordance with the international standard and employ state of the art technology.
• The method applied in the Corporate Carbon Footprint study has to be scientifically and technically valid.
• The data has to be sufficient and functional regarding the goal of the study.
• The interpretation has to include the recognized limitations and goal of the study.
• The report has to be transparent and coherent. 

If these requirements are fulfilled, the study can be certified. The certificate is valid for one year.
